The other day I went to a small local market event to visit my friends’ booths.

My purpose was to receive an amulet from one of my friend who has a shrine maiden license.

Her hand written amulet feels so special to me. I hope it works well for the coming year 2024 ✨

People buy lucky charms and read fortune slips to wish for the best at the beginning of the year.

I also had my other friend’s homemade curry and it was just the right amount of spiciness!

 

 

先日、散歩がてらにちょっとしたイベントに立ち寄りました。

目的は巫女資格を所有している友人が作ってくれた護符を手に入れるため＾＾

心を込めて作ってくれた護符にはパワーがこもっていて、

来年にむけて運気が上がった気がします！

 

 

ふと護符って英語で何と言うのだろうと考えたのですが、

守りと魔除け的な意味も含む「amulet」がしっくりきます。

ちなみに、福を呼び込むイメージがあるお守りは「lucky charm」といい、

おみくじを引くは「draw a fortune slip」と表します。

年末年始に神社を訪れる際はぜひ使ってみてください＾＾

 

もう一人の友人が出店していたカレーもいただきました♪

しっかりスパイスが効いていて、とても心と体が温まる一日でした。
