Summer is over and it’s food season in Japan!

There is a term called “Shokuyoku no Aki”, which translates to Fall Appetite, because many crops are harvested in this season.

For example, October 1st was Japanese Sake Day.

I also went to Imotaki which is an outdoor taro potato hot pot. (on a super windy typhoon day lol)

 

  

 

夏も終わり、だんだん寒くなってきましたね。

今年の夏はアウトドアスポーツの予定が台風でいくつか中止になってしまってショックです＞＜

仕方がないので、心を入れ替えて「食欲の秋」を楽しみたいと思います！

 

 

「食欲の秋」というのはカナダにはなくて、季節ごとに旬の食を堪能できる日本が大好きです＾＾

英語で説明したいときは”Fall Appetite”と伝えるのが一番分かりやすいかと思います。

さっそく友人と日本酒の日(10月1日)にほろ酔いフェスタに行ったり、強風の中いも炊きに参加しました笑

次は秋の海鮮を探してみます。
