It’s very sad to hear that some people are losing homes to the wildfire in Alberta, Canada.

Alberta is next to my hometown province, British Colombia.

An earthquake in Kumamoto then a wildfire in Alberta… these natural disasters are frightening.

I was reading an article on the wildfire, and it states that this powerful wildfire was caused by a combination of El Nino and manmade climate change.

Take home message, climate change is causing horrible disasters!

Prayers for all in Alberta.

今カナダのアルバータ州で巨大な山火事が発生していて、無事に避難できている人々が8000人越え。

避難警告出されてる人たちが17000人。　被害が大きすぎる＞＜

実家のブリティッシュコロンビア州のすぐ隣なので心配になります。

最近あった熊本の地震も同様、自然災害はやっぱり怖いです；

記事には、山火事の原因はエルニーニョ現象と地球温暖化の組み合わせなんだとか。。（http://www.iflscience.com/environment/city-sized-alberta-wildfires-driven-climate-change-and-powerful-el-ni-o）

早く火事が治まって、アルバータのみなさんが無事でありますように。

 

少し暗い話になってしまいましたが、ワンポイント英語があります☆

長い話をまとめて重要なことを伝えたいときに使える英語は　“The take home message is ~” 　です♪

カジュアルに訳すなら、「要するに言いたいことは～」が一番近い意味かな。

今回の山火事のことを例文にすると、

“The take home message is that climate change is causing horrible disasters!”

(地球温暖化はたくさんの自然災害が起こる原因になってる！)　です＾＾

エコ思考を高めないといけないですね！
