Does your personality change when you speak a different language?
I recently discovered that my personality changes according to the language I’m speaking.
For example, when I think in Japanese I’m very concerned of what people think and I tend to get paranoid about small things. On the other hand, when I think in English I feel more open minded and care less about what others think of me.
I had a small discussion with a few of my students and they also experienced a slight personality change when the speak English as well.
So I did a little research on this topic and found an explanation on TED Talk!
